April Is Financial Literacy Month - Time to Sharpen Those Pencils

Published: April 1, 2021

April is officially Financial Literacy Month, however, all of us at First Northern Bank recognize financial literacy all year long. Knowing the importance of learning how to become a good fiscal manager of your money, we’re going to provide tips throughout the month to benefit the youngest in your household to the oldest. And we’ll provide a range of topics from how to become a good saver to tips on how to protect yourself and your money.

Each week we’ll deliver new content for a specific age group. Receive tools and resources to help learn, establish, and train healthy financial habits so you can get yourself and those you care about on a smart financial path.

  • Grades K-12: Interactive lessons and tips to help kids build lifelong financial knowledge and skills.
  • Young Adults: Deliver relevant and meaningful content to discuss budgeting and personal finances for a young adult just starting out.
  • Adults: Money management tips to help run a household, discuss financial tools to help, and prepare for retirement.
  • Seniors: You’ve earned your money, now find ways to protect it.

Like us, we hope you have fun learning and living good financial habits.

Also, if you’re affiliated with a local community organization that could benefit from receiving free lessons on financial literacy, First Northern Bank can provide interactive, easy-to-understand materials that’re uniquely tailored to fit all age groups. You can learn essential skills used in everyday life – at no cost! If you’re interested, please contact Rachelle Snead, AVP/Corporate Communications, by emailing [email protected].
